Brief Summary
Lelia, a spirited poetess with an unyielding love for her parents, and Jules, a modest, scholarly poet, are not your typical romantic leads. Their unexpected pairing at a writer's retreat, a setting not usually associated with love, adds a unique charm to their romance.
My Review
This book matches the quality of the first installment in this anthology. Golden undoubtedly possesses a remarkable talent for crafting historical romances. The characters Jules and Lelia consistently kept me on the edge of my seat with each successive chapter. The dialogue between the main characters elicited genuine laughter and grinning ear to ear. In a manner akin to the first installment of this anthology, Golden excelled in character development, emotional depth among the characters, and the organization of the storyline. The story offered an engrossing escape that rendered the experience of reading exceptionally immersive. One might question the necessity of streaming services when such a captivating book is available. Ultimately, this literary work justified any disruptions to my circadian rhythm
A Touch of Romance by Paullett Golden receives 5 out of 5 stars. I highly recommend this book and look forward to finishing this anthology.
