Brief Review
Mojave Moonlight is a romance novel about former high school peers Natalie and Alex. Alex is a police officer who moved back to their hometown, looking for a fresh start. Natalie is a funeral director who manages her family's business. Although Natalie and Alex have had some significant setbacks in the past and present, they have a promising future together.
My Review
Where do I start? This book was amazing. It felt like I was reading a paper copy of a Hallmark movie. The story and characters were expertly developed. The first main character, Natalie, is a funeral director. The second main character, Alex, is a police officer. Natalie's job as a funeral director was effectively represented. The concept of death and funeral home operations is gracefully discussed. Alex's job is also described in great detail.
The natural banter between characters is what I adored the most about this book. I was laughing, yelling, and tearing up with the characters. I especially LOVED the fact that I was able to read both of the characters' POVs. The switch between Natalie's and Alex's was great in executing the plot. Integrating Alex's Latina culture was the icing on the cake!
Mojave Moonlight by Julia Diers receives 5 out of 5 stars from me. I highly recommend this book.
