My Review
Diers wrote an entertaining story in impressive detail, much like the previous book. The author cleverly began this sequel with the same rhyme as the first one, which I found satisfying as a reader. Diers maintained continuity from the first story while expertly developing the complexity of the characters. She skillfully interwove recaps from the previous novel that flowed naturally with the current plot. Systematically, Diers did an extraordinary job writing this story. The author graciously included a trigger warning before the first chapter. Although I believed I could handle many heavy themes, I was unable to cope with too much, much to my dismay. Some aspects of the story were uncomfortable for me. However, my inability to manage these themes does not detract from Diers’s action-packed romance.
Redwood Rain by Julia Diers gets 4.5 out of 5 stars. I recommend this enjoyable read.
